Founding Partner of Faisal Al Faozan & Partners in Riyadh, a licensed attorney authorized by the Ministry of Justice and a member of the Saudi Bar Association, with more than thirty-five years of experience in legal practice and judicial disputes. Over this career he has built long experience of the Saudi justice system, its laws and its procedures.
Over his career he has served on specialized committees concerned with the organizational framework of the justice sector: the committee for preparing the structure of the Supreme Judicial Council, the body that supervises judicial affairs; the committee for drafting the Implementing Regulations of the Law of Procedure before Sharia Courts, which governs litigation procedure before the courts; and the committee for preparing the strategy of the Judicial Training Center, which is responsible for training in the justice sector.
He complements this practical experience with specialized academic training: he holds a master’s degree from the Higher Judicial Institute, the academic institution specializing in judicial and regulatory studies, and serves as an accredited trainer at the Judicial Training Center, helping to qualify practitioners and pass on his experience. In arbitration — a means of dispute resolution in which the parties agree to submit their dispute to an arbitrator or arbitral tribunal that issues a binding award under the Arbitration Law — he practices as an arbitrator and arbitration expert and has served on arbitral tribunals as both member and chair, combining experience in judicial disputes and arbitration.
His experience spans judicial disputes, regulatory work, judicial training and arbitration — complementary perspectives on a dispute from its inception to its resolution, and on the procedural and substantive rules that govern it.
