A licensed attorney authorized by the Ministry of Justice and a member of the Saudi Bar Association, practicing law since 2023 and a member of the team at Faisal Al Faozan & Partners in Riyadh. He draws on a grounding in Sharia and jurisprudence: he holds a bachelor’s degree in Sharia and is completing a master’s degree in Comparative Jurisprudence, the discipline that studies the opinions of the schools of Islamic jurisprudence and weighs their evidence.
He handles waqf (endowment) cases, in which Sharia rulings and the relevant regulations come together, and is experienced in the liquidation and division of estates and the management of heirs’ legal affairs, as well as contract drafting and the analysis of statutory texts, drawing on his combined Sharia and regulatory background.
A waqf is a Sharia disposition in which an asset is held in perpetuity and its benefit dedicated to a purpose; waqf cases typically concern establishing endowments, their administration (nizarah) and the management of their revenues. Estate liquidation involves identifying the deceased’s assets, rights and obligations, settling debts, executing bequests within their Sharia limits, and then distributing the remainder among the heirs according to their prescribed shares. Such cases require an understanding of both the Sharia rules and the regulations and procedures that govern them.
He also provides legal advice to the firm’s clients on Sharia and regulatory matters and contributes to the analysis of the statutory texts relevant to the matters handled by the team.
